Ragging is strictly prohibited and is punishable crime under Indian Panel Code (UGC regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009) under Section 26(1)(g) of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.
Objectives of Anti Ragging Committee:
Anti-Ragging Committee will be the supervisory and advisory committee in preserving a Culture of Ragging Free Environment in the college Campus. The main objectives of this committee are as follows:
- To make students aware of dehumanizing effect of ragging inherent in its perversity.
- To keep a continuous watch and vigil over ragging so as to prevent its occurrence and recurrence.
- Promptly and stringently deal with the incidents of ragging brought to our notice.
- To generate an atmosphere of discipline by sending a clear message that no act of ragging shall be tolerated and any act of ragging shall not go unnoticed and unpunished.

The students can drop their complaints/suggestions in writing (can be anonymous if required) in the grievance/ suggestion box.
- To develop guidelines and norms for policies against sexual harassment.
- To organize gender sensitization awareness programme.
- To deal with cases of discrimination and sexual harassment in a time bound manner, aiming at ensuring support services to the victimized.
